KITCHEN KETTLE VILLAGE is now accepting applications for a *FULL-TIME LINE/PREP COOK IN THE HARVEST CAFÉ. * As a prep/line cook, you will make a variety of soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and entrees from scratch with fresh ingredients. They uphold all health codes and restaurant standards for sanitation and food safety. This position is perfect for an experienced cook who wants better hours to balance work/life, or someone looking to expand their skills and experience in the culinary field.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of this position include, but are not limited to:

  1. Cook and prepare a variety of food products, meats, vegetables, poultry, sauces, soups, desserts, and other delicious food items.
  2. Understand and abide by the company's cooking methods: kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.
  3. Record HACCP log daily.
  4. Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation.
  5. Receive and check daily deliveries and accurately put away in proper location.
  6. Comply with company portion and qualify standards.
  7. Must be able to work Saturdays and holidays as needed (closed Thanksgiving and Christmas).
  8. Willing to assist in other food service/production areas.

     

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT of this position include, but are not limited to:

This job requires being on your feet for most of the day. Twisting, bending, reaching, stooping, or kneeling is required.   They must be able to utilize ladders, stepstools, and hand trucks as well as move from store to store and around the sales floor in a timely manner. You must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds, and occasionally up to 25 to 50 pounds. Work environment can be fast-paced and hectic. Noise level is sometimes loud. Temperature can vary. Must be able to tolerate various fragrances.
