Boehringer Ingelheim (Senior) Pricing and Access Manager - TA Inflammation in Ingelheim, Germany

The Position

Tasks & responsibilities

  • As (Senior) Pricing and Access Manager for our pipeline products in the TA Inflammation, you are a representative for Global Market/ Patient Access in international project teams (e.g., asset, evidence and value teams) and provide strategic insight from a Market/Patient Access perspective for the development of the respective assets. The scope of assets includes products for the disease areas Dermatology, Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, as well as rare disease areas depending on development status.

  • In close collaboration with Global Marketing and the Medical counterparts you deliver key projects for optimal patient access by defining the long-term global value and access development strategy for the assets.

  • You will develop a global early pricing & access strategy consisting of several workstreams, with a global and key country perspective which will be the basis for commercial assessments to be presented at milestone meetings to Senior Leadership.

  • In addition, you are also responsible for compiling and presenting the early Global Launch Pricing Strategy and Sequence for Senior Leadership approval.

  • With your expertise you guarantee the development (and updating) of Patient Access input into the (early) Integrated Brand Plan (eIBP) and collaborate with regions/ (R)OPUs for the appropriate strategy development and steering support for specific assets within the TA.

  • Depending on assets scope and stage of development, you will drive value differentiation initiatives which will support and substantiate the strategic value proposition securing the access strategy for our pipeline products.

  • Finally, you ensure that value-based patient access strategies are effectively communicated internally and externally addressing payer customers, for assigned BI products.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in Business, Economics, Health Economics, Medicine, Pharmacy, Finance, Natural Sciences or related discipline

  • Multiple years of pharma industry experience, with positions in the areas of, pricing & reimbursement, consulting or payer authorities

  • Some years working experience in a pharmaceutical company or Pharma consulting in a global/regional role with focus on immunology and/or rare diseases

  • Good track record in Price management, value generation, HEOR, demonstration and/or communication

  • Experience in conducting Payer relevant research across multiple specialty disciplines (e.g., pricing and contracting, international price systems, innovative access models)

  • Strong presentation and communication skills as well as the ability to work in international and cross-functional teams

  • Business fluent in English; German or other additional language would be a plus

The Senior Pricing & Access Manager additionally requires:

  • ​​​​​​​Long-term pharma industry experience, with positions in the areas of, pricing & reimbursement, consulting or payer authorities

  • Several years working experience in a pharmaceutical company in a global role, as well as few years international exposure

  • Strong track record in being responsible for Price management, value generation, demonstration and/or communication

  • Highly experienced in conducting Payer relevant research across multiple specialty disciplines (e.g., pricing and contracting, international price systems, innovative access models)
