We are currently expanding and have several openings for Senior Manager Strategic Marketing (employment country: Germany/Ingelheim with hybrid solution) in our exciting Therapeutic Area Oncology .

As a Senior Manager Strategic Marketing within our Corporate Therapeutic Area Oncology , you will drive the commercial product strategy and implementation for a designated portfolio. You will play a vital role in shaping the strategic definition of our offerings and positioning, ensuring that our products meet the needs of real-world customers and their ecosystem. You will be involved throughout the entire product lifecycle, from development to launch.

In your new role, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Leading strategic marketing throughout the entire asset lifecycle, from start of development (SoD) to launch.

  • Acting as the designated Marketing lead for specific assets/indications, with high visibility towards senior leadership for key decision-making. You will drive BI's commercial leadership based on an optimized disease-area and asset lifecycle for a designated span of assets/indications.

  • Driving project leadership, innovation, and disruptive thinking to achieve Therapeutic Area (TA) ambitions.

  • Driving asset development with a strong focus on patient centricity and market understanding. This includes end-to-end portfolio management and commercialization activities, covering the entire process from SoD to proof of concept (PoCP), pre-launch, and launch.

  • Taking on commercial portfolio responsibility for several assets within a specific disease area, involving interaction with multiple core project teams.

  • Deriving market, customer, and competitor insights through various channels and championing them within the cross-functional team to ensure meaningful outcomes from development to commercialization.

  • Leading marketing development, which includes market and competitive assessments, target product profile (TPP) definition, financial forecasts, life cycle management (LCM), labeling requirements, payer and consumer research, segmentation, positioning, scenario planning, integrated brand planning (IBP), tactical planning, and more.

  • Identifying and engaging different functions such as research, translational medicine, clinical operations, medicine, commercial development and market access (CDMA), regulatory, market access, sales, managed markets, Drug Regulatory Affairs (DRA), Legal, Medical, PR, etc., to understand the indication or brand and develop a winning strategy for asset development, launch, and maintenance.

  • Supporting Operating Units (OPUs) in the local adaptation and implementation of global brand strategies and content.

  • Providing guidance on operational metrics and optimization opportunities, and supporting active marketing process and planning based on operational and strategic data and metrics.

  • Developing marketing programs in compliance with BI policies and global regulations, and supporting the Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) team in understanding new channels, data, and capabilities. You will be perceived as a partner in driving evolution in tactics and strategies.

Your skills, your experience and what makes you who you are

  • Master's degree in Science or a related field. An MBA would be considered a plus.

  • Extensive experience in marketing, in the pharmaceutical industry or healthcare sector

  • Know-know in commercializing products - on a local as as well as global scale, preferably with US experience

  • Strong experience in product launches is highly desirable

  • Several years years of experience in the field of Oncology is mandatory

  • Ability to effectively interface with senior management at both corporate and market levels.

  • General understanding of medical practices, FDA, and EMEA regulatory processes.

  • Basic understanding of advertising and promotion procedures and guidelines, as well as market research processes and tools, and forecasting techniques.

  • Demonstrated skills in project management.

  • Proven ability to achieve results in a highly matrixed organization.

  • Experience working cross-functionally, collaborating with various teams and departments.

  • Track record of successful performance.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and database applications.

  • Willingness to travel internationally, including overnight travel.
