Boehringer Ingelheim Global Manager Human Pharma Public & Government Affairs in Ingelheim, Germany
The Position
You will join a dynamic team dedicated to engaging with policymakers around the world to enable the access and uptake of lifechanging pharmaceutical innovation. As part of the Public & Government Affairs function in the Corporate Affairs division, you will support the delivery of integrated campaigns to drive meaningful policy change in particular areas of healthcare.
This position is based at our Global Headquarters in Ingelheim, Germany.
Tasks & responsibilities
In your new role, you will map the policy environment and implement outreach programs to shape global and pan-regional policy in support of the business objectives for the TAs (Therapeutic Areas) in Human Pharma. You will support the development of policy recommendations and external relationship building to drive this forward.
You will play a key role in ensuring partnership with colleagues across Corporate Affairs to deliver integrated campaigns at a global and country-level.
Moreover, you will monitor international health policy trends and dynamics, offering insights and recommendations to inform Public & Government Affairs activity.
You will support the creation of clear, well-researched policy briefings, reports, slide decks, and other forms of content to convey policy messaging for both internal and external audiences.
All your work will be conducted in line with Boehringer -Ingelheim’s business objectives, in close collaboration with the Therapeutic Areas, other relevant departments (e.g. Healthcare Affairs, Patient Engagement, Market Access, Legal & Compliance) as well as in line with external stakeholders’ expectations. You will ensure that Boehringer Ingelheim speaks with one voice.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Politics, Health Policy, Sciences or equivalent qualification
A seasoned professional with experience in a Public & Government Affairs role, potentially inhouse, a consultancy or directly in Government
Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, therapeutic areas, and relevant global/local policy trends. A global mindset with country-level experience will be considered a plus
Demonstrable experience of delivering integrated campaigns to drive meaningful policy change
Crisis and issues management experience and the ability to operate under pressure and keep a cool head
Project management experience with a co-creative spirit and the ability to build strong trustworthy interpersonal connections with internal and external stakeholders
Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing. Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
