Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

Operate varying machines to produce products for the agricultural industry. Primarily operate large industrial press machines using pedals and buttons to punch out or mold agricultural products. Load conveyor with raw material to go through industrial oven to reach accurate temperature before pressing. Once pressed, pick up heated material using tongs and quench product in water solution to cool before moving to the finishing department. Meet production expectations using knowledge of routings, bill of materials, feed systems, and occasionally blueprints. Assist in moving material and/or products manually by hoist or forklift. Start machine and observe operation to detect misalignment or malfunction. Complete quality checks according to company standards. Clean and lubricate machines and tooling as required; may perform other routine machine maintenance once trained.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Indianola, Iowa.

Work Environment

1st Shift - 5am-1pm (Choice to take a 30 min unpaid lunch and work until 1:30, or 10 min paid lunch and work until 1pm so candidates are in and out of work after 8 hours exactly). 10 minute breaks throughout the day, more frequently when it is hot. Non-temp-controlled facility - can get hot in the summer, feels nice in the winter - not too cold.
