About the Role
As a Utility Engineer, you will play a meaningful role in ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and improvement of utility systems within our client's organization. These utility systems encompass water, electricity, gas, and other crucial services required to sustain Pharmeceutical operations. Your expertise will be essential in optimizing utility usage, improving sustainability, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the organization's environmental and operational objectives.
What You’ll Do
Conduct regular inspections and monitoring of utility systems to identify issues and ensure optimal performance
Develop and implement maintenance schedules for utility equipment, ensuring accurate functioning and longevity
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and provide effective solutions to minimize downtime
Analyze utility consumption data to find opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings
Develop strategies to optimize utility usage, minimize waste, and promote sustainability initiatives.
Implement energy-saving practices and technologies to reduce the organization's environmental footprint
Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to utility management
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and guidelines related to utility operations
Prepare and submit accurate reports to regulatory bodies as required
Lead utility-related projects, including upgrades, expansions, and installations, from inception to completion
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements
Ensure projects are executed within budget and meet quality and safety standards
Collaborate with other departments and teams to address utility-related needs and concerns
Provide training and guidance to staff on efficient utility usage and safety protocols
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the utility engineering team
What You’ll Need
Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered with proven experience in utility engineering, maintenance, or a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize utility usage and resolve technical issues
Excellent project management abilities to oversee multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and documentation
Professional certifications or licenses related to utility engineering is a plus
