Description We are currently in search of an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in the Professional Services industry, based in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role primarily involves executing accounting tasks such as maintaining customer credit records, processing customer credit applications, and managing customer inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage general ledger activities.

• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Prepare and post journal entries as part of month-end close activities.

• Utilize strong MS Great Plains Accounting and Dynamics skills in daily tasks.

• Manage customer accounts, including monitoring for any discrepancies and taking necessary actions.

• Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency.

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer credit records.

• Address and resolve customer inquiries regarding their accounts.

• Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) operations.

• Perform additional accounting duties as required. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Bank Reconciliations

• Strong understanding and experience with General Ledger

• Ability to prepare and manage Journal Entries

• Experience with Month End Close process

• Proficiency in MS Great Plains Accounting

• Familiarity with Dynamics software

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
