Adecco Medical is currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Patient Care Assistant to join our client's team in Indianapolis, Indiana - 46240. This is a permanent and direct-hire position.

Shift

  • Monday-Friday

  • 3pm-6pm

Pay

$16-$18 per (depending on experience)

Requirements

  • Active Driver’s License

  • Auto insurance

  • Must be able to clear a background check (background check scans entire record for lifetime)

  • Some prior experience is preferred

  • TB vaccination or the ability to be vaccinated.

Job Description

  • Patient Care Assistants will be primarily working with geriatric patients

  • Patient Care Assistants may need to travel with their patient to run errands (Prescriptions, doctor’s appointments, etc.) travel is limited to a 10-mile radius from home.

  • Mileage and gas are reimbursed .50 cents per mile

  • PCA’s will be primarily out in the field, very rarely going to the office.

  • Ensure clients receive their medication on time

  • Support clients who can’t move on their own

  • Help clients dress, bathe, eat etc.

  • Assist clients with physical therapy exercises

  • Cook meals according to the customer’s restrictions

  • Help customers with their shopping

  • Do necessary housekeeping to maintain a clean environment

  • Provide emotional support

  • Inform physicians or supervisors about uncommon events

  • Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Pay Details: $16.00 to $18.00 per hour
