Overview :

Lead the daily operations of the shipping & receiving and material handling services teams to insure the highest utilization and most efficient use of staff, equipment and other resources.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities :

  • In consultation with Manager/Supervisor, plan manpower assignments and schedules in support of shipping & receiving requirements.

  • Supervise shipping & receiving, material handling teams to insure maximum utilization and highest productivity level.

  • Insure that all required documentation and computer entries are completed per company policies and in a timely fashion.

  • Coordinate with Manager/Supervisor and other operational groups, internal and external customers, to insure the accuracy and timeliness of shipments, material receipts and other shipping & receiving activities.

  • In coordination with Manager/Supervisor, identify and implement process and methods improvements that increase the efficiency and contribution of the shipping, receiving and warehousing operations.

  • Supervise shipping & receiving, material handling teams to insure compliance with all safety and environmental policies and regulations.

  • Supervise shipping & receiving, material handling teams to insure all equipment and warehouse areas are kept clean, free of obstruction and debris, and organized at all times.

  • Physical strength to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds frequently.

  • Must be able to work in hot and/or cold weather conditions in open warehouse area.

  • Must be able to climb stairs (open mesh) with varying degrees of pitch.

Nonessential Job Functions:

  • Performs other directly related appropriate duties and assumes accountabilities as apparent or as delegated, including mutually agreed upon objectives.

Job Specifications/Skills:

  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in the supervision of shipping, receiving and warehouse staff.

  • Good interpersonal skills.

  • Good oral and written skills.

  • Effective team building skills in the coordination of cross functional teams.

  • Ability to prioritize in a multitask environment.

  • Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office, data and schedule management and JD Edwards or similar enterprise business software systems.

  • Team cooperation - maintain positive, cooperative attitude with all employees of LATICRETE and all customers.

Minimum Educational Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalency certificate.

Travel:

  • 5%
