Summary THIS IS AN INDIANA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION This position is part of the IN JFHQ IN J6, Indiana National Guard under Position Description Number D2525P01/ D2526P01. Responsibilities This is a developmental position Performs the basic duties and has the basic responsibilities as described in the GS-2210-11 position description; however, detailed assistance, guidance, and support from the supervisors and co-workers are provided, as required, ETC Receives formal and/or on-the-job instructions designed to familiarize incumbent with the functions and operations of the program area and work responsibility. Performs other duties as assigned. Addresses problems; installs, configures, troubleshoots, and provides maintenance and training in response to customer requirements or inquiries (e.g., tiered-level customer support). Provides support and guidance on installing, and operating personal computers, peripheral equipment, and associated software. Receives requests for resolution of hardware or software problems that may require in-depth research. Updates hardware and software architecture databases to reflect installations, turn-ins, and changes in reportable software. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications MILITARY GRADES: E3 through E9, WO1 through CW3, O1 through O3 COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: 25, 26, 255 The policy to have a compatible MOS/AFSC has been suspended. When reinstated, you will have one year to meet the qualifications of this position or meet the requirements in the guidance set by NGB. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training that has provided a basic knowledge of data processing functions and general management principles that enabled the applicant to understand the stages required to automate a work process. Experience may have been gained in work such as computer operator or assistant, computer sales representative, program analyst, or other positions that required the use or adaptation of computer programs and systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-09 : A masters or equivalent graduate degreeORMust have at least 24 months experience, education, or training in analysis of the interrelationship of pertinent components of the system. Experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment. Experience scheduling the sequence of programs to be processed by computers where alternatives had to be weighed with a view to production efficiency. GS11: A Ph.D or equivalentORMust have at least 36 months experience, education, or training that approaches techniques and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization. Experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment where this entailed coordination with others outside the organizational unit and development of project controls. Experience that required adaptations of guidelines or precedents to meet the needs of the assignment. Experience preparing documentation on cost/benefit studies where is involved summarizing the material and organizing it in a logical fashion. Education You may combine education with specialized experience to meet the length of experience requirement for GS-09/11. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. To receive credit for Education, you must provide transcripts or documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
