Lilly Central Project Manager - Device Assembly & Packaging in Indianapolis, Indiana

Organization Overview:

The “Engineer – Project Management” role is responsible for initiating, facilitating, communicating, and managing local capital projects within the Indianapolis Device Assembly and Packaging (IDAP) site. Project managers are expected to work closely with the process teams that have project needs in order to help define, scope, and justify business cases as well as manage the status of the project throughout its delivery. Project managers are also expected to maintain communication with key stakeholders and proactively identify and escalate any changes to expected project timelines. In additional, project managers are responsible for keeping track of local capital spend at the site in order to ensure that the site’s capital budget is adhered to.

Responsibilities:

  • Safety – Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, working safely, and accountable for supporting all HSE Corporate and Site Goals

  • Project Management – Apply project management best practices as defined by the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) to successfully plan and deliver projects

  • Site Portfolio Management – Monitor projects throughout their life cycle and ensure appropriate approval/prioritization of site projects

  • Resource Assessment – Perform annual resource assessment across IDAP by setting up meetings with each individual process team in order to determine project priorities for site and manufacturing assets

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (STEM discipline preferred)

  • 2+ years experience, project management or project engineering experience strongly preferred

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position

Additional Preferences:

  • PMP certification

  • Process or automation engineering experience

  • Demonstrated project management and problem-solving experience

  • Very strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Independent work ethic

  • Vendor and contractor management experience

  • Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, working safely, and staying accountable for supporting all HSE Corporate and Site goals

  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience

Additional Information:

  • Work hours will be 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday

  • Possible after hours support required with flexible work hours arrangeable

  • Project delivery schedules may coincide with company holidays
