The Role:
The Custom Market Research Sales Leader will drive the growth of MMIT’s custom market research services within the pharmaceutical sector. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies, building and managing client relationships, and leading a team to achieve sales targets. The ideal candidate has a strong background in market research and sales within the pharmaceutical industry, with a proven track record of success.
Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development and Execution:
Develop and implement sales strategies to grow MMIT’s custom market research services.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical sector.
Collaborate with marketing and product teams to create compelling sales materials and campaigns.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders in the pharmaceutical industry.
Understand client needs and provide tailored market research solutions based on therapy area, lifecycle, market / prescribing dynamics, etc..
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering insights and recommendations based on research findings.
Team Leadership:
Mentor a team of sales professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve sales targets.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the sales team.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing training and development.
Market Research Expertise:
Stay current with industry trends and developments in the pharmaceutical market.
Leverage market research expertise to identify opportunities and address client challenges.
Work closely with research and analytical teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, actionable insights.
Sales Reporting and Analysis:
Track and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management.
Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Develop and present sales forecasts and budgets.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA, PharmD, PhD) with 10 years plus experience preferred.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical market and healthcare industry.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
Ability to travel as needed.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $180,000 to $200,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
