Work Days and Expected Hours: Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Additional hours as necessary to meet the objectives of the department)

Function: Credit Risk Review serves to independently monitor credit quality and assess the effectiveness of credit risk management to provide the Directorate and executive management with objective oversight of all lending credit related activities. Functions are both for consumer and commercial banking, with staff specialized in one area, but will be cross trained to support either line of business.

Duties and Responsibilities (Commercial):

Provides an independent analysis of credit quality, credit administration management, processes and controls of lending and credit risk management functions, corporate management, and lending unit management.

Under the direct leadership of the Commercial Credit Risk Review Manager, performs reviews of the assigned less complex commercial loans/borrowers to ensure compliance with established policies and underwriting guidelines.

Under the direct leadership of the Commercial Credit Risk Review Manager, evaluates the quality of the assigned less complex commercial loans/borrowers and verifies that the appropriate risk rating was assigned indicating borrower's financial strength and probability of loan repayment.

Under the direct supervision/leadership of the Retail or Commercial Credit Risk Review Manager, review assigned small business loans approved through the Business Banking Lending Division (BBLD) to evaluate the assigned risk rating and the quality of the BBLD loan portfolio.

May assist in performing Retail Credit reviews (See below).

Communicate recommendations to credit risk management processes that strengthens the organization and enhances overall supervision of lending methods and provides tools to continually measure effectiveness, to the Team Manager.

Maintains a good working relationship with all bank employees. Possesses the ability to work as a team player to contribute to the success of the organization.

Assumes additional responsibilities as required.

Duties and Responsibilities (Consumer/Mortgage):

Provides an independent analysis of consumer credit quality, credit administration management, processes and controls of consumer l lending and credit risk management functions, corporate or business linet management.

Under close supervision of the Consumer Credit Risk Review Manager, perform reviews of the bank's consumer loans to ensure compliance with established underwriting guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Under close supervision of the Consumer Credit Risk Review Manager, perform secondary mortgage market quality control related duties to ensure compliance with established investor guidelines and policies.

Under close supervision of the Consumer Credit Risk Review Manager, perform portfolio mortgage loan reviews to evaluate compliance with established underwriting guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Communicate recommendations to the Consumer Credit Risk Review Manager, to be communicated to credit risk management and consumer lending unit management that strengthens the organization and enhances overall supervision of consumer lending methods and provides tools to continually measure effectiveness.

Maintains a good working relationship with all bank employees. Possess the ability to work independently and as a team player to contribute to the success of the organization.

May assist in performing Commercial Credit Reviews (see above).

Physical Demands

Operates a keypad device: 50% of the day and operates office equipment 5% of the day. Standing is required one hour per day in a straight position. Sitting is required six hours per day in a straight position. Walking is required one hour per day at moderate in speed. Requires the use of manual dexterity skills for typing up to 40% of the business day. Specific vision requirements include close vision of 18"-20" for computer work. Education

Requires a four-year degree or equivalent. Preferred major or area of specialization: Accounting. Finance, Math, Business. Formal credit/Consumer lending/underwriting/Mortgage training preferred.

Experience

Requires two to five years general business experience and two to five years specialized training is preferred, specifically with loan review experience or an equivalent combination of credit analysis/underwriting/processing and loan review experience.

Salary Range:

$36,438.00 - $70,000.00
