Are you passionate about tennis and delivering exceptional guest experiences?

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Tennis Professional to join our resort team! In this exciting role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality tennis instruction and creating an unforgettable experience for our guests.

The hourly rate of pay is $16.50 plus commission per session. This is the pay rate that Grand Hyatt Indian Wells reasonably expects to pay for this position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Expert Tennis Instruction : Conduct engaging private and group lessons for guests of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced players. Tailor your sessions to meet the needs and goals of each individual or group, ensuring a fun and rewarding experience.

  • Organize and Lead Tennis Activities : Assist with the coordination of tennis activities, events, and tournaments for guests, including members, social groups, and corporate conference groups. Bring excitement and energy to every session!

  • Maximize Guest Satisfaction : Maintain an exceptional and consistent level of service, ensuring that all guests have a positive and memorable experience. Go above and beyond to create lasting relationships with guests and encourage return visits.

  • Promote the Resort's Tennis Program : Be an ambassador for the resort’s tennis offerings, helping to promote lessons, clinics, and events to increase guest participation and engagement.

  • Stay Current with Trends : Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in tennis instruction and trends, and continually strive to improve your own skills and knowledge to provide the best service to our guests.

  • Team Collaboration : Work closely with other resort staff to ensure the smooth operation of tennis activities and collaborate on creating events that enhance the guest experience.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in delivering high-quality tennis instruction, with a passion for the sport and helping others improve their game.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with individuals and groups.

  • Energetic, professional, and friendly demeanor with a customer-focused mindset.

  • Experience working in a resort, club, or luxury hospitality environment is a plus.

  • Availability to be on-call to accommodate flexible scheduling for private lessons and group sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant university degree or diploma in Sport or Leisure Management (preferred).

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in teaching and/or coaching tennis lessons to adults and juniors of various skill levels.

  • Strong knowledge of and enthusiasm for tennis.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
