Flynn Restaurant Group AP Acquisitions Analyst in INDEPENDENCE, Ohio

Position Description

The AP Acquisitions Analyst is responsible for coordinating acquisitions of stores and onboarding them into Flynn’s processes. This will include coordinating efforts with the selling entity to obtain the appropriate documentation and reporting needed to ensure a smooth transition post close date. The AP Acquisitions Analyst will also maintain a project plan for each acquisition to ensure task deadlines are being met and will coordinate and assist with any roadblocks or delays. Additionally, the AP acquisitions analyst will attend internal meetings with key stakeholders and provide status updates on tasks leading up to and after the closing of the transaction.

Essential responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain department acquisition project plan.

  • Hold status update meetings as needed and provide leadership with progress reporting.

  • Obtain all utility information and assist with onboarding to our utility payments system, Cass.

  • Coordinate with third party transition service and or contact utility companies directly to ensure utilities are properly transferred to Flynn Group.

  • Coordinate utility deposits including securing bonds in partnership with the Risk department.

  • Work with additional parties as necessary in the utility transition of newly acquired stores

  • Work hand in hand with the Vendor Master team to identify suppliers that require onboarding and then work together to load them into the system while obtaining necessary documentation and ensuring vendors are successfully transitioned into our portal

  • Working alongside the Vendor Master team to work to communicate the new billing instructions to newly onboarded vendors

  • Partner with Procurement and areas of the business to ensure proper transition of vendors from seller to Flynn Group.

  • Prorations tracking related to invoice activity and posting adjusting entries as needed.

  • Coordinate training as needed for newly acquired stores on how to navigate the AP system(s) Internal and vendor (Coupa)

  • Coordinating efforts with the entire AP team to ensure invoices are being processed as expected

  • Implements and maintains systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines.

  • Assist the AP team with process improvements, projects, and ad hoc requests as needed.

  • Interact professionally and collaboratively with management, Accounting, AP, Operations and other departments to ensure timely and accurate transitioning of newly acquired stores

  • Special projects as assigned.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Associate/bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience of 5 plus years

  • SAP, Coupa and/or Concur experience preferred

  • Three or more years accounts payable experience preferred in the Restaurant Franchisee or Property Management industry

  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.

  • Must possess strong Excel skills.

  • Must be extremely detail-oriented and able to work with minimal supervision both independently and in a team environment.

  • Superb understanding of invoice processing

  • Strong organizational skills are required

  • Must possess good verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to multi- task and work under tight deadlines.

  • Customer service mindset is required

  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles, practices, and compliance

  • Experience in dealing with onboarding newly acquired businesses is highly preferred.
