Key Responsibilities:

The position will run technical core support for Crew Operations DT Systems. They are responsible for helping their team members with the technical aspects of their jobs, such as design and programming. They will be expected to explain new fixes and processes to their team and work on an overall delivery approach, with appropriate technical measures. The technical lead will be required to identify risks, form contingency plans, and address these with technical solutions as applicable. The Tech lead will also be expected to collaborate with other team members, as well as Dev and functional teams to deliver best in class solutions and support.

  • With strong knowledge of Tibco and Java ( Kafka, AWS and ODM preferred). The role will also require coordination with other DT teams for application and OS patches, upgrades, and additional support changes.

  • The technical lead would be required to guide & mentor employees and contractors to both technical excellence and for people management. It would be expected to have a strategy for employee training & growth, and to provide the required development opportunities.

  • To keep a check on the whole system, conduct testing and integration testing for Core Support changes, and monitor daily systems operations.

  • The lead role will have overall technical responsibility and will be required to drive very quality focused & sustainable deliverables. This will include collaboration with various teams, validating any technical challenges and being on the lookout for improvements & enhancements. The role will be required to support testing phases, and ensure that the non-functional requirements are accounted for.

  • Lead will be the interface between the team and the management. The lead should be able to own the communication between management and team, to effectivity communicate overall progress, risks, mitigations and to be the voice of the technical team. The lead will be required to make decisions to help solve the technical challenges. Technical lead will be expected to solve challenges with technology, but also be able to support the overall program. This position will be expected to take point on Incident Management calls, providing the necessary guidance for troubleshooting any issues within the Crew Operations DT team and external DT and Business Partners

  • Lead would be required to assist and guide Core Support Team, and Program Manager in project strategy and execution.

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Professional degree

  • 5+ years operational support experience

  • 2+ years of full cycle implementation experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Should be able to collaborate with various teams

  • Expertise with Tibco, Kafka, AWS, Java, and ODM

  • Should be able to work under defined constraints

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Master's degree Computer Science

  • Kafka/Spark, ODM, Angular

  • Airline industry experience

  • AWS or other Cloud Certifications

  • Constantly motivate and encourage team to give their best, especially during the time when they are pressurized with high targets.

  • Abide by all the project and company guidelines and standards and to ensure that even the team members are doing so.

  • Tech Lead should inspire team members to deliver the highest level of core support
