Your role and responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Full Stack Engineer to build and collaborate with a team responsible for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of features across our suite of intranet software. This role requires expertise in working across several mission-critical applications, including the w3 (intranet) homepage, iOS mobile application, website builder, and collaboration with our webmaster operations team.

• Driving the adoption of emerging technologies to optimize and automate various business functions with an AI-first approach and a focus on digital experiences.

• Enabling best-in-class IT infrastructure with advanced cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive information and maintain regulatory compliance.

• Modernizing legacy systems and integrating disparate applications to improve interoperability and reduce technical debt.

• Collaborating with other departments and teams to align technology efforts with broader corporate objectives.

• Providing guidance and expertise on technology trends, best practices, and standards.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Proficiency in VueJS

• Expertise in Carbon Design System

• Hands-on experience with React

• Strong knowledge and experience in Node.js and TypeScript

• Proven experience in designing and implementing database schemas with Postgres and Cloudant

• Familiarity with S3 (cloud object storage)

• Understanding of caching solutions using Redis

• Expertise in data and message streaming technologies like Kafka

• Proficiency with GIT, including reviewing code through pull requests and leading technical discussions

• Experience in providing user support via tools like Slack and managing on-call support

• Knowledge of secrets management, Contrast, SonarQube, Cirrus

• Experience with JEST for unit testing

• Familiarity with Imply, HTTP caching, and CIO CI/CD Pipelines

• Writing clean, scalable, and well-documented code

• Troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing applications

• Collaborating across teams in an Agile environment

• Basic understanding of AI concepts
