Google Software Asset Manager, Enterprise in Hyderabad, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 7 years of experience in IT or Software Asset Management, and supplier/vendor management.

  • 7 years of experience developing operational process solutions, and working with cross-functional teams to drive these changes.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 7 years of experience in problem solving, third-party vendor relationships, user documentation, and user training.

  • Experience with Flexera, BDNA, and Data Platform.

  • Knowledge of SQL, analytics, and Operations Six Sigma certification or other relevant operations experience.

As an Enterprise Software Asset Manager, you will lead Google’s strategic, cross-functional Software Asset Management Program. You will partner with internal stakeholders and organizations to create, maintain, and evolve plans to offer, reclaim, forecast, and optimize strategic and enterprise software positions, and drive risk avoidance through structured and scalable licensing governance practices.

You will determine the quality and availability of software that users utilize for daily work, ensuring planning, risk avoidance, and data governance at scale. You'll collaborate with different organizations with visibility into engineering, procurement, and business operations.

  • Create and implement strategy for managing the software programs data structure, catalog, and operational tools/systems/dashboards needed to perform operations across software asset management.

  • Lead Google’s support, licensing, and data strategy for Software products in the service catalog.

  • Maintain and evolve a product level catalog and operational structures across functions of the software program, enabling operational automation, and efficiency by eliminating custom processes and procedures.

  • Develop strategies to advance software asset management services delivery strategy at scale.
