Job Title - Senior Financial Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Month-End Close & Reporting. This role will be responsible in ensuring our month-end close process is accurate, timely, and efficient.

What You’ll Do

The incumbent is required to work with various of finance stakeholders to achieve the completion of the month end activities and group reporting as per the global timeline and standard. The role is not limited to the below activities and subject to be extended.

• Review and analyze lease agreements, identifying key terms and classification criteria under IFRS 16/ASC842.

• Prepare and record lease accounting journal entries in ERP in accordance with IFRS 16/ASC 842 standards.

• Maintain accurate lease records, including lease start dates, lease terms, lease payments, and residual values and ensure all the backup documentation is saved centrally for future retrieval.

• Review and assist with the calculation of lease liabilities and right-of-use assets.

• Reconcile lease-related accounts in the general ledger, ensure the local ERP and group reporting is aligned.

• Participate in the month-end closing process for lease accounting and provide advice to ensure accuracy of the financial reporting.

• Prepare lease flux and disclosures for financial statements for local and group reporting.

• Stay up to date on IFRS 16/ASC 842 pronouncements and interpretations as known as COE of lease accounting.

• Research, discuss and guide on complex lease accounting issues.

• Collaborate with other departments, such as for procurement, real estate, and vehicles, to ensure accurate lease data capture.

• Collaborate with GWS senior stakeholders to understand their requirements, translating technical concepts into understandable insights to facilitate decision-making.

• Provide relevant financial dashboard in related to the lease activities.

• Possess a strong understanding of GWS business finance to effectively facilitate communication and collaboration between business and senior stakeholders.

• Ad-hoc tasks and assignments that assign by the management Drive process improvement and optimization within process to achieve better efficiency.

• Ensuring the relevance lease internal control is carried out within the process.

What You'll Need

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), ACCA or equivalent designation.

• 5+ years of experience and minimum of 2 years of experience in lease accounting

• Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• In-depth knowledge of IFRS 16/ASC 842 and its application to lease transactions.

• Experience of managing multiple stakeholders- internal such as Senior financial controller and external as auditors

• Good communication skills; ability to clearly articulate expectations and outcomes with various levels of management, both in Finance and Business

• Ability to liaise and connect with finance teams / business teams to deliver desired outcomes

• Experience in operating within a Large Global organisation and Matrix environment.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Peoplesoft, OneStream and etc).

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
