Job Title: Receivables Finance Manager
The Receivables Finance Manager is a key thought leader and change agent, focusing on driving systemic improvements in accounts receivable performance. This role partners with cross-functional business and technical teams to optimize free cash flow, resolve bottlenecks in the order-to-cash process, and ensure an exceptional customer experience. By leveraging data from multiple sources, this individual provides actionable insights that influence financial strategy and drive operational excellence.

Key job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Lead essential operational processes such as collections, cash application, credit notes, deduction management, and vendor/customer contact management to ensure smooth financial operations.
Drive the organizational strategy by taking a leadership role in enhancing process efficiencies, providing valuable feedback on tool design, and spearheading the adoption of new processes, workflows, tools, and automation initiatives.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across the order-to-cash lifecycle, engaging with business partners, team members, and customers to develop and implement long-term solutions.
Build and nurture long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Order-to-Cash (OTC) lifecycle.
Define, track, and monitor performance metrics, ensuring all decisions are informed by data-driven insights.
Oversee the successful onboarding of new and acquired businesses into Amazon systems and processes, ensuring seamless collections and efficient cash application operations.
Develop and manage project milestones, ensuring timely and successful delivery of key initiatives.
Analyze existing processes and design/redesign workflows for new business lines and geographic expansion, continuously enhancing operational performance.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel
Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving
Preferred Qualifications
6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
MBA, or CPA
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
