Position : R&D Program Manager

Location: Bangalore, India – Hybrid (60% office, 40% remote)

Employment type: Full-time regular (flexible working options available)

About the role

Through your passion for Continuous Improvement and your experience with implementing Lean-Agile practices for software development programs, you will support AVEVA product teams to continuously learn, and align toward achieving higher performance.

In this role you will:

  • Ensure a deep understanding of features and customer-value being delivered

  • Plan the overall program, monitor progress throughout the program life cycle to ensure successful delivery

  • Serve as the primary interface between Product Management and Agile execution teams

  • Coordinate and participate in continuous backlog refinement and planning, ensuring an achievable quarterly plan

  • Coordinate with Chief Technologists to ensure architectural consistency

  • Coordinate with other Program Managers to manage inter-dependencies

  • Coordinate with UX/UI team to develop personas, workflows, and mock-ups

  • Manage and clearly articulate dependencies, risks and mitigations to stakeholders

  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of monthly stakeholder review meeting

Qualification

  • Experience collaborating with teams and stakeholders across multiple geographies.

  • 4-year degree in Computer Science of a related discipline

  • 10+ years of experience with commercial software product development, with at least 3 years in team leadership/managerial role

  • Experience with Agile/Lean software development. Familiar with software lifecycle processes and lean/agile development methodologies

  • Strong leadership and management skills

  • ​Facilitate higher level planning and backlog refinement on a regular cadence.
