We are looking for a strong Senior Engineering Manager to build and lead a team that will contribute to architecting, designing, building, and running Licensing services. The IPP Global Services team is developing and operating online services both in Azure and in on-premises.

IPP Global team, which is a part of the Crypto Services organization, are responsible for services needed to license and protect Microsoft and it's partner's Intellictual Properties. We are a global team. We build and manage about 30 critical services. DevOps way. Some of our services are of extreme scale with billions of daily transactions. We are looking for a leader in oour India team who will be based out of Hyderabad and who can manage a talented team of engineers to offer Cryptographic and other functional services needed for licensing applications.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ownership in building and running large scale services in public cloud. Drive improvements to resiliency, latency, and product reliability, and promote engineering best practices.

• Build and lead an excellent team of software engineers.

• Coach and grow team members

• Provide technical leadership for high-scale distributed service engineering projects, from start to finish.

• Plan and prioritize work for your team, including collaborating with partner organizations.

• Establish a positive, inclusive team culture consistent with Microsoft cultural attributes, values, leadership principles and manager expectations.

• Hire, lead, mentor and retain a team of engineers.

• Deliver success via empowerment and accountability.

• Communicate complex concepts/incidents to broad audiences including executive communication.

• Partner closely with program managers to innovate and evolve products and services based on deep understanding of business and customer needs

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or related technical discipline

• 10+ years technical product engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

o OR equivalent experience.

• 2+ years’ experience developing high scale, distributed systems on a cloud platform.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills

• Ability to learn fast and self-motivated• Azure/Cloud Services experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of managerial and mentorship experience.

• Experience architecting solutions for complex distributed systems
