Oracle Network Developer 3 in HYDERABAD, India

Job Description

We are hiring for OCI Corporate Network and Security operation. You will be a member of the team responsible for network and security Incident/change/capacity management for supporting the Oracle Corporate Network. Resolve the complex problems related to network infrastructure services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence. Design, write, and deploy software to improve the availability, scalability, and efficiency of Oracle products and services.

Work with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Employee experience, Network Engineering, Onsite, and Real Estate teams on the shared full stack ownership of a collection of services and/or technology areas. Understand the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioral characteristics of production services. Responsible for the design and delivery of the mission-critical stack, with a focus on security, resiliency, scale, and performance. Authority for end-to-end performance and operability. Partner with vendors in defining and implementing improvements in service architecture. Understand and communicate the scale, capacity, security, performance attributes, and requirements of the service and technology stack. Demonstrate a clear understanding of automation and orchestration principles. Act as an ultimate escalation point for complex or critical issues that have not yet been documented as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Utilize a deep understanding of service topology and the dependencies required to troubleshoot issues and define mitigations. Understand and explain the effect of product architecture decisions on distributed systems. Professional curiosity and a desire to a develop deep understanding of services and technologies.

Full-time Bachelor's or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent. possessing the knowledge of Network and Security configuration, in-depth network troubleshooting, standard internet services, scripting languages, cloud computing patterns, technology security, and compliance.

Be comfortable with mission-critical production issues and manage customer anxiety appropriately.

Responsibilities

Participate in Network lifecycle management through network build and/or upgrade projects. Collaborate with program/project managers to develop milestones and deliverables. Will primarily use existing procedures and tools to develop and safely execute network change. However, may have to develop new procedures from time to time. Serve as technical lead for team projects. Contributes to the development of roadmap issues. Leads development of new run-books and method of procedures. Mentors junior engineers. Participates in network solution and architecture design process. Responsibility for developing standalone features. Participate in operational rotations as either primary or secondary. Provide break-fix support for events. Serve as escalation point for event remediation. Lead post-event root cause analysis. Coordinate with networking automation services for the development and integration of support tooling. Frequently develops scripts to automate routine tasks for team and business unit. Serves as SME on software development projects for network automation. Supports network vendor software bug fixes. Collaborate with network vendor technical account team and internal Quality Assurance team to drive bug resolution and assist in the qualification of new firmware and/or operating systems.

We would like to see some combination of the following skills and experience:

• 5-8 years of experience supporting network and network security technologies

• Candidates must have three out of the five core skills like Network Automation, Firewall, layer 2/3 switching, load balancer, VPN, and any cloud technology (OCI/AWS/Azure/GCP)

• Hands-on experience in Corporate, Enterprise, and Cloud Network environments

• Experience identifying and resolving network health issues and generally identifying, prioritizing, and measures aimed at improving the quality of the network reliability

• Capability to work with other team members. Ensure the coordinated resolution of incidents & Problem management and RCA/CA

• Experience with ticketing and incident/request tracking systems

• Use automation to improve the efficiency and reliability of Corporate and Cloud infrastructure to Investigate and resolve incidents using scripts and tools, work with developers to improve the reliability of software during testing phase

• Work jointly within operation team & management and collaborate with automation and monitoring teams to develop service-based monitoring metrics for security and routing functions

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong technical knowledge of client/server and Internet concepts and techniques

• Highly motivated - self-starter

• Strong oral and written technical and interpersonal communication skills including sensitivity to the user community and the importance of maintaining a positive vendor relationship

• Candidate should be open for a 24x7 support model as per rotational schedule, as well as occasional overtime activities during scheduled maintenance windows

• Experience with network automation tools, Ansible, python, and zero-touch provisioning.

Preferred Skills

• Cisco and Juniper certifications desired. Additional Preferred

• Identify opportunities to automate responses to common operational problems and requests

• Experience working with Cloud infrastructure APIs, REST API models, and developing REST APIs is a plus

• Familiarity with IaaS/PaaS/SaaS infrastructure/environments

• Technical understanding and practical application of DevOps

• Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery & Deployment

• Have used Automation scripts using Python, Ansible , YAML in daily operation of incident and request management

• Understanding of CI/CD, Familiar with Network as Code strategy

• Worked on SaaS based Network monitoring and analyzing tools eg. SolarWinds NPM, ThousandEye, Nagios, ManageEngine, Cisco Stealth watch etc, or similar type of tools and products in daily operation and engineering.
