About the Role:

The Data security engineering & development expert in this role will be deploy, manage, and operate solutions focused on data discovery, data classification, and remediation.

• Data Security Posture Management, Data Security Platforms, and EDRM technologies

• Deploy premises-based data security POC (Cyera)

• Data encryption, masking, and tokenization

• Data lineage and integration with Chief Data Office data inventory systems

• Protection of data in motion, in use, and at rest

Roles & Responsibilities based on scope of work:

  • Perform data-centric subscriptions and applications’ onboarding and scanning using DSPM and other related tools and technologies.

  • Maintain responsibility for the day-to-day operations of data discovery and classification technology platforms and remote scanners.

  • Operate as a technical subject matter expert in DSPM, Data Protection, Governance, and Privacy.

  • Configure docker containers, Kubernetes, and Azure Kubernetes services.

  • Create and manage API connections and rulesets, including powering key integrations between platforms.

  • Work with service providers of platform(s) to upgrade new versions.

  • Create documentation for requirements, engineering drawings and diagrams, and operational installation (runbooks) to deliver infrastructure services for projects.

  • Work with data analysts to capture enterprise project requirements and identify the infrastructure services required.

  • Support internal client engagements from planning/assessing, technical implementations, and managed operations.

  • Research and document new modules/capabilities and identify potential use cases.

  • Document infrastructure environments in coordination with other infrastructure and application teams to ensure the system is secure, highly available, and scalable.

  • Execute project delivery as noted in individual SoWs, leading workstreams and consistently delivering quality services.

  • Assist the CSO Data Security team with developing technical requirements, evaluating vendor solutions, developing architecture & design, and testing of data protection and data security solutions.

  • Responsible for the management, advanced configuration, and fine-tuning of various data protection technologies.

  • Troubleshoot application-based performance issues or outages of technologies.

  • Stay current on industry trends around cyber risk and data protection practices.

  • Perform other duties as assigned (Pursuits, Training, Thought-Leadership Development)

Required Skills :

  • A minimum of 12 years working in data protection and security engineering support experience

  • Previous experience and knowledge of Data Protection technologies such as BigID, Collibra, Microsoft Purview, Netskope, ZScaler, Symantec/Broadcom, Forcepoint, McAfee

  • Must have hands-on experience in docker containers, Kubernetes, and Azure Kubernetes services administration.

  • Advanced knowledge of system security architecture and security solutions.

  • 2-3 years’ experience with DSPM platform administration including scanner deployments and building scan profiles.

  • 5-7 years’ experience as a Kubernetes administrator with the knowledge to deploy and manage cloud-native applications in Kubernetes environments.

  • Experience creating and managing API connections and rulesets, including powering key integrations between platforms.

  • Knowledge of RegEx, Perl, Python, SQL, Git, Ansible, Terraform, Java, Bash

  • Collibra, Netskope, BigID, Microsoft Purview, Wiz, or Zscaler experience is essential

  • Bachelors / master's in computer science or information technology engineering.

Desired Skills :

  • Industry-standard certifications such as Security+, Network+, CISSP, CIPP, CIPM, and CISA

  • Vendor certifications from leading DLP, DSPM, CSPM, CNAPP, and CSG technologies

  • Knowledge of automated data discovery, classification, and inventory.

  • Familiarity with data labeling, attributes, tagging of structured/semi-structured/unstructured data.

  • Knowledge of PCI-DSS.

  • Experience with ETL tools.

  • Knowledge of data de-identification techniques such as masking, tokenization, and encryption.

  • Knowledge of symmetric/asymmetric encryption.

  • Knowledge of common cryptographic libraries.

  • Knowledge of Database Activity Monitoring solutions.

  • Knowledge of Database Security Vulnerability Management.

  • Knowledge of AI/ML and usage potential in data security.

  • Database Administrator skills such as SQL queries, stored procedures, installation, provisioning, access, design, schemas.

  • Flexible to provide coverage in US morning hours on a need-basis, and as required

  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills

  • Experience working in an environment where coordination with multiple teams is essential to success

  • Ability to prioritize individual/group work in a high-stress and time-bound environment
