Job Title: IT Vendor Management Analyst
Reports to: IT Senior Vendor Manager
Department: AVEVA IT
Job Purpose:
Responsible for supporting the AVEVA IT Vendor Management function, ensuring IT vendors are proactively managed in line with KPIs and SLAs. Contract management, budget control and support BAU in line with AVEVA business objectives.
Dimensions
Manage or provide support with a portfolio of IT Vendors for any of the following categories; Software, Hardware, Telco, Cyber, or Enterprise Services.
Principal Accountabilities
Provide support to all IT Vendor Managers across any required categories to proactively manage all vendor activity
Responsible for a portfolio of small value renewals, working to a forward schedule of renewals ensuring each renewal is completed on time and in budget
Assisting with budget control and identifying and acting on cost savings opportunities
Direct contact with suppliers to negotiate new contract renewals
Assist with service reviews with strategic partners
Supports the IT Vendor Manager or IT Category Manager in more complex negotiations and commercial discussions
Supporting admin function role, taking responsibility for creation of complex PO’s, obtaining quotes, lifecycle management of PO’s including Financial queries
Continually identifies areas for improvement
Reporting
- Provision of appropriate reports through available tools to senior management, regularly and ad-hoc.
Projects
Works with project teams, and contract and supplier managers to ensure software licences and services are identified, costed and purchased correctly
Engages with other internal AVEVA departments (e.g. Legal) and third parties as required to maximise chances of project success

Experience Required
The individual must demonstrate:
Experience supporting a vendor management function in medium to large companies
Strong Vendor awareness, client liaison, supplier management
Strong awareness of budget control and ability to identify and implement cost saving initiatives
Some knowledge & understanding of organisational, ITIL Service management across the full service lifecycle and multi sourcing
Some experience of managing supplier performance against contracts and delivery plans, including dispute resolution
Very strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Excellent communications (written & verbal), collaboration & financial analysis skills.
Qualifications and experience:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in an IT Vendor Management or Service Delivery team in medium size organisations
ITIL or Prince knowledge or accreditation (preferable)
