About the role
In collaboration with Global CSD functions—particularly with Manufacturing Cluster Leaders and Plant Managers—drives manufacturing and supply chain processes, systems, and capabilities to deliver BC business strategy and desired results. Accountable for designing and implementing the Barry Callebaut Operating System (BCOS), provides organization capabilities leveraging a zero-loss mindset and a culture of 100% participation.
Responsible for monitoring Next Level operations maturity versus BIC targets, tracking the progress of Manufacturing KPI’s Balanced Scorecard and adjusting/driving BCOS implementation master plans.
Key responsibilities include
Define in collaboration with The PMO and Global BCOS Director a Barry Callebaut excellence program including a consistent cost-saving process.
Shape Manufacturing and BCOS organization, define the new KPIs & routine and implement new OEE definition with loss tree concept in the sites under his/ her responsibility
Be an interface with the manufacturing Excellence lead, Plant manager, Plant management team and other CSD functions
Define and train desired employee capabilities and operation standards according to BCOS to ensure value delivery.
Organize the training and coach the internal resources to ensure the Manufacturing Excellence System principles are understood and applied both at the Operations stages.
Run Continuous Improvement and performance workshops as required for Manufacturing Cluster Directors
Provide capabilities to global continuous improvement teams & manufacturing clusters. Train plant teams, deploy new balanced scorecard, RCA & routines, Launch 5S & CL implementation define new template & reports for digital.
Accountable for adoption of new systems, ways of working, IT/solutions into site daily working routine
Identify and formalize with local management team areas for improvement of line performance (material losses, efficiency, yield, production organization, energy consumption, etc.)
Ensure periodic benchmark of best practices to achieve excellence in digital, processes and manufacturing and create if necessary in collaboration with Global CSD functions standard associated
Perform with his/her team the on-site audits to measure the adherence to the Manufacturing Excellence System and establish Site Maturity Levels
In collaboration with the Manufacturing cluster and in accordance with other CSD functions, define the yearly Continuous Improvement and Productivity targets and animate the network of Manufacturing Excellence resources to reach these targets.
About you
Bachelor’s degree
Skills in the definition and deployment of a Lean Manufacturing system and improvement programs at all levels of the organization.
TPM, Lean 6 Sigma experience (desired Lean Black Belt level)
10+ years in manufacturing and supply chain
Track record in implementing change
Demonstrated practical experience in implementing Lean Management systems and processes
Project management experience
Experience in developing and deploying strategy in the manufacturing environment
Operational and project manager
Fluent in English
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence
build good working relationships with stakeholders and senior executives
Coaching skills
