Sage is looking for a strategic and accomplished sales leader with a proven track record of driving substantial revenue growth and enhancing Sage’s market presence in the United States across the accounting segment.

As the Senior Director, GTM for Accountants US, you will be responsible for driving a comprehensive go-to-market strategy aimed at selling our software solutions to the accounting segment.

The role requires strategic thinking with a proven track record in sales leadership, market expansion and revenue growth.

This role is expected to drive significant revenue growth in the accounting segment with an ambitious target to grow from $43million in FY24 to over $100million by FY27.

The role will give you a platform for driving growth and adoption across the US and leading an empowered team that are passionate about creating impact!

Key Responsibilities:

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

Create and implement a robust go-to-market strategy tailored to the accounting segment, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall goals and objectives.

Drive significant revenue growth through the accounting channel; work cross-functionally to refine sales strategies and marketing programs to meet and exceed the company’s goals around revenue growth

Identify and prioritize key partnerships that will benefit the channel and align with the needs of our accounting customers and channel

Lead and manage and high-performing sales team, providing mentorship, guidance and strategic direction to achieve and exceed sales targets.

Conduct thorough market analysis to identify key trends, opportunities and competitive dynamics within the accounting sector.

Establish and nurture strategic partnerships and alliances that enhance our market presence and drive business growth

Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and pain points, ensuring our solutions meet and exceed their expectations.

Develop and monitor key performance indicators to track progress and optimize sales efforts.

Work closely with cross-functional teams including product development, marketing, and customer support to ensure a cohesive and effective go-to-market approach.

What will you bring?

10+ years proven experience in a senior sales leader or go-to-market role in the software or technology industry

Proven experience leading Accountant channel-based sales, marketing and business development teams

Strong track record of driving substantial revenue growth and achieving ambitious sales targets

Deep understanding of the accounting segment and its unique challenges and opportunities

Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse sales team

Strategic thinking with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Strong interpersonal and communications skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels

Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, marketing or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
