Technical Product Owner

Job Description:

We are seeking a Solution Designer to deeply understand customer issues within their business area from various perspectives. In this agile Scrum environment, you'll contribute to designing technical solutions for Sage products and services, to improving our ERP development framework and to ensuring a high level of quality and security. This role involves analyzing products, managing requirements, solving problems, and acting as a key contact for the project team. You'll create precise and clear artifacts and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet their needs.

Key Deliverables

• Analyze and understand customer problems and business needs.

• Design solutions for Sage products and services.

• Create and manage artifacts, including backlog items.

• Review and coordinate artifacts produced by team members.

• Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships to ensure mutual understanding of solutions.

• Ensure high-quality, detailed analysis and continuous improvement of solutions.

• Challenge existing approaches and suggest innovative solutions.

• Communicate effectively with technical departments and understand the associated technologies and constraints.

• Validate that solutions address the original problems and meet objectives.

• Support and guide junior team members through validation and acceptance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivers an extraordinary customer experience through superior products and services

• Defines the problem, manages requirements and risk escalation, designs the solution and coordinates communication between the various stakeholders in the development cycle.

• In a Scrum context, manages the team's backlog, including planning and tracking the estimate. Reports on the progress of his/her work and that of relevant team members.

• Collaborates with other solution designers and stakeholders and builds and manages effective stakeholder relationships

• Develops knowledge of Sage analytics, technologies, organisation and processes and relevant areas

• Shapes and influences the product or service, sometimes by encouraging and protecting the team, sometimes by imposing a radical challenge

• Helps to guide, stimulate and develop the more junior members of the team

• Assists delivery teams with complex issues or if mediation is required, including taking responsibility for answering questions

• Takes responsibility for own personal development and seeks opportunities to develop the role further

Requirements:

• 5-6 plus years of experience in solution design, with a focus on cloud-based applications

• Security ISO 27000 (certificate management)

• AWS stack / Cloud techno / Aurora / IaC (at least understanding)

• Services REST, GraphQL

• Typescript, C++, C#, Powershell

• Architecture skills

• Strong product analysis, requirements management, and problem-solving skills.

• Technical proficiency with the ability to discuss technology solutions effectively.

• Ability to mentor and develop less experienced team members.
