Housing Assistance Corp. Director of Human Resources in Hyannis, Massachusetts

Housing Assistance is seeking an experienced & dedicated Director of Human Resources to join our nonprofit organization. With a staff of 120 employees, our mission-driven organization requires a strategic & compassionate HR leader to oversee all aspects of human resources practices & processes. The Director of Human Resources will play a key role in fostering a positive work environment, ensuring compliance with employment laws, & supporting our employees to achieve their best. The Director will oversee the Human Resources Manager. Essential Functions: Strategic HR Leadership: Develop & implement HR strategies aligned with the organization\'s mission & goals. Maintain knowledge & provide guidance & support to senior management on HR matters, trends, regulatory changes & best practices. Talent Acquisition & Retention: Oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, & retention initiatives. Develop & implement strategies to attract & retain top talent. Employee Relations: Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, facilitating conflict resolution, & promoting open communication. Provide oversight & ensure consistent handling of employee disciplinary matters. Performance Management: Oversee & implement performance management systems to evaluate & improve employee performance. Support managers in conducting performance reviews & providing constructive feedback. Training & Development: Identify training needs & manage employee training programs to enhance employee skills & career development. Promote a culture of continuous learning & professional growth. Compensation & Benefits: Manage comprehensive compensation & benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive & aligned with industry standards. Conduct regular salary reviews & oversee management of the benefits administration process. Compliance & Risk Management: Monitor & ensure compliance with federal, state, & local employment laws & regulations. Develop & implement HR policies & procedures to mitigate risk. Serve as the organizational representative for employment legal relations & complaints. HR Administration: Oversee & direct HR administrative functions, including employee records management, managing the HRIS system, & payroll coordination. Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion: Champion diversity, equity, & inclusion initiatives to create a welcoming & inclusive workplace for all employees. Additional Duties: Attend meetings & trainings as required. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications, Education, & Experience: Bachelor\'s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Strong leadership & team management skills. Excellent interpersonal & communication skills. Comprehensive knowledge of HR best practices & employment laws. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion & confidentiality. Strong problem-solving & conflict-resolution abilities. Proficiency in HRIS & other HR software. Preferred Qualifications, Education, & Experience: A Master?s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, PHR) is preferred. Experience in a nonprofit organization is desirable.
