As a Systems Engineer , you will be part of the Ground Systems Development (GSD) Systems Engineering (SE) team on the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) program. In this role, you will work under the guidance of the GSD Systems Engineering Senior

Manager in architectural design of THAAD Fire Control and Communications (TFCC) Force Operations (FO).

Your responsibilities may include:

• Developing TFCC and THAAD Planner (TP) algorithms

• Developing modeling and simulation to support the TFCC design

• Analyzing performance and support verification

• Developing battle plans to support weapon system testing and specialized battle plans for field deployments

• Supporting flight test performance analysis and issue resolution

• Developing and maintain analysis scripts

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or other related field from an accredited college/university

• Experience using or developing systems models or simulations to perform one or more of the

following functions:

a.) System trade studies

b.) Requirements decomposition

c.) Performance predictions

d.) Algorithm prototype development

• Scripting language experience (e.g., MATLAB, C, C++, etc.)

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge and application of systems engineering processes across the full product life cycle (to include proposal, design, qualification, requirements verification/validation, production and field support

• Knowledge of Missile Defense Concepts and Interoperability or other Command and Control systems

• Systems Engineering or related experience / education:

a.) Concept of Operations (CONOPS)/ System Architecting

b.) Requirements definition or decomposition or working with requirements documents

c.) Requirements and Verification

d.) Algorithm development / Model Base Engineering /design knowledge

• Engineering / physics-based modeling and simulation preferably with MATLAB, C, C+ tools

• Experience supporting large scale software development

• Experience in weapon system ground/flight test,

verification processes, and tools

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members

• Experience working on an agile team

• Active Secret clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
