The MSFC Human Exploration Development and Operations (HEDO) Office manages and performs human-rated space projects and tasks and conducts mission and scientific payload operations. Within the HEDO Office, The Habitation Development Office supports the system level design, integration, development, test, qualification and acceptance of the Gateway Program including lunar surface habitat, habitat in lunar orbit, and transit habitat intended to take the first humans to Mars. Responsibilities: Provide life cycle phase products identification, strategies, planning, and preparation for the Human Exploration Development and Operations Office (HEDO) and Exploration Systems
Job Requirements:
A degree in Engineering is required. A degree from an ABET accredited university is preferred. Typically, educational requirements are the equivalent of a minimum of an MS with at least 13 years of experience, or BS with at least 15 years of experience.
An individual who is pro-active, a self-starter that can work independently with limited supervision.
Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, customer relations, presentation, and organizational skills.
Systems Engineering and Integration (SEandI) experience supporting human-rated aerospace programs is desired.
SEandI experience working within highly integrated programs producing cross-program SEandI activities, technical trade studies, and products is desired.
Experience or education in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and associated tools/processes (ex. MagicDraw), and/or experience in requirement management tools (ex. Rationale DOORS, MagicDraw) is preferred but not required.
