SAIC Security Team Manager in HUNTSVILLE, Alabama

Description

SAIC has an opportunity for a Security Team Manager based out of our Huntsville, Alabama location. This individual will also be appointed as the site FSO and have a direct team of three (3) security professionals assigned to them. The Security Team Manager/FSO will report directly to the Army Business Unit Security Manager and indirectly to local program leadership.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparation and completion of security audits and government inspections

  • Routinely operates within these databases - SIMS/NISS/DISS

  • Processes personnel security clearances; verify visitor clearances, COMSEC, CAC Re-verifications, etc.

  • Implements visitor control and certifications for visitors to customer sites

  • Ensure proper handling of classified materials

  • Coordinates and transmits document control as directed; receipt/dispatch

  • Prepares and conducts program briefings associated with executed NDAs

  • Reviews documents for proper classification markings

  • Supports meetings to ensure compliance with administrative security safeguards

  • Supports security processing- courier, scheduling, tracking, and facilitating personnel inquiries andinvestigations

  • Perform general clerical duties as required.

  • Ensure facility compliance with all security policies and directives

  • Liaison with customer and subcontractor security offices on security issues

  • Lead and mentor team of (3) security professionals

Qualifications

Required Education and Skills:

  • Bachelors and ten (10) years or more of related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience; An additional four (4) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

  • Must be a US Citizen with a current/active Top Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI if required

  • Must be able to obtain FSO Certification within 6 months of employment

  • Must be an Industrial Security Subject Matter Expert

  • Must demonstrate exceptional Leadership & Management skill-sets

  • Must be willing to manage, lead, and mentor a team

  • Must have experience with DoD Community organizations

  • Must have exceptional organizational skills; effectively manages multiple tasks and priorities with minimal supervision

  • Must have expert skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel) and Outlook (email, calendars)

  • Must be responsive to deadlines and completeness in accomplishing assignments

  • Must be able to operate in a fast paced environment

  • Must have a “can do” attitude, able to work with many types of people

  • Must be a skillful communicator
