SAIC Security Team Manager in HUNTSVILLE, Alabama
Description
SAIC has an opportunity for a Security Team Manager based out of our Huntsville, Alabama location. This individual will also be appointed as the site FSO and have a direct team of three (3) security professionals assigned to them. The Security Team Manager/FSO will report directly to the Army Business Unit Security Manager and indirectly to local program leadership.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Preparation and completion of security audits and government inspections
Routinely operates within these databases - SIMS/NISS/DISS
Processes personnel security clearances; verify visitor clearances, COMSEC, CAC Re-verifications, etc.
Implements visitor control and certifications for visitors to customer sites
Ensure proper handling of classified materials
Coordinates and transmits document control as directed; receipt/dispatch
Prepares and conducts program briefings associated with executed NDAs
Reviews documents for proper classification markings
Supports meetings to ensure compliance with administrative security safeguards
Supports security processing- courier, scheduling, tracking, and facilitating personnel inquiries andinvestigations
Perform general clerical duties as required.
Ensure facility compliance with all security policies and directives
Liaison with customer and subcontractor security offices on security issues
Lead and mentor team of (3) security professionals
Qualifications
Required Education and Skills:
Bachelors and ten (10) years or more of related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience; An additional four (4) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Must be a US Citizen with a current/active Top Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI if required
Must be able to obtain FSO Certification within 6 months of employment
Must be an Industrial Security Subject Matter Expert
Must demonstrate exceptional Leadership & Management skill-sets
Must be willing to manage, lead, and mentor a team
Must have experience with DoD Community organizations
Must have exceptional organizational skills; effectively manages multiple tasks and priorities with minimal supervision
Must have expert skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel) and Outlook (email, calendars)
Must be responsive to deadlines and completeness in accomplishing assignments
Must be able to operate in a fast paced environment
Must have a “can do” attitude, able to work with many types of people
Must be a skillful communicator
