We are seeking a Safety and Environmental Specialist with experience in safety, occupational health, and environmental compliance. You will provide direct support with planning, maintenance, and implementation of a comprehensive safety and occupational health program. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, professional, and capable of managing their workload and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced corporate environment with a strong work ethic. Daily task and activity will include:

• Develops safety criteria, guides, and standards on a variety of topics.

• Develops reports, conducts inspections and surveys in addition to administering and coordinating Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.

• Provides recommendations and feedback on a variety of safety topics.

• Conducts thorough surveys of organizational safety programs and assists in identifying and analyzing safety and environmental hazards.

• Reviews safety policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure organizational compliance with applicable directives.

• Maintains accident and incident records, report documentation, and publications needed to support organizational activities.

• Conduct safety audits, fire extinguisher inspections, and inspections of all first aid kits and other safety related equipment.

  Required

• BS or BA degree

• Minimum of 8 years Safety management experience

• Ability to use and interpret safety laws, rules and regulations

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Some travel

• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance​

  Desired

• Master’s degree in related field

• Proficient knowledge of OSHA and Environmental regulations

• Ability to acquire Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and understands regulatory requirements.

• Experience in risk management and mitigation.

• Experience conducting workplace accident investigations
