Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Mid-Level Facilities Electrical Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to to provide technical facilities engineering expertise to the Missile Defense Agency and will support planning, design, and execution of new construction, renovation, and equipment upgrade projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Display the ability and experience to interact with and coordinate electrical engineering tasks with the government customer, host installations, A&E firms, and executing agencies.

  • Work as part of an interdisciplinary technical team on facility projects.

  • Develop project scopes of work.

  • Assist the Government Project Manager to plan, program, design, execute, and document facility construction projects.

  • Provide construction surveillance.

  • Prepare project briefings in Microsoft PowerPoint and information papers in Microsoft Word.

  • Draft, review, and contribute to technical reports and documentation.

  • Obtain, analyze, distribute, and archive technical and contractual information.

  • Draft, review, and process change proposals.

  • Participate in decision-making meetings with project stakeholder.

  • Participate in project planning and design scoping sessions/charrettes/design reviews.

  • Travel 0-4 weeks per quarter.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical or related field) and 7+ years of relevant work experience. An ME, MS, or PE can be substituted for two years relevant work experience.

  • Capable of providing electrical engineering support for planning, design, construction, and maintenance/sustainment of the physical and natural environments, and the administrative and mission facilities and infrastructure of the Agency.

  • Possess technical and engineering theoretical knowledge for an electrical engineering discipline

  • Capable of working as a team member to solve engineering problems.

  • Expertise in execution of electrical facility engineering and environmental policies, studies, and analysis. Works as a member of team and assists with solving complex problems

  • Broad general facility engineering background, knowledgeable in current best electrical engineering practices.

  • Demonstrated project engineering experience in support of scheduling, planning, programming, design, construction, operations, environmental, and start-up aspects of facility/infrastructure related projects

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software

  • Active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain a clearance

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Working knowledge of USACE/NAVFAC/DPW construction project execution, construction projects, shop drawings, RFIs and submittal reviews

  • Experience with facility assessments, facility operations, master planning, and environmental issues, and related impacts

  • Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency

Salary Range:

$70,500.00 - $123,400.00
