COLSA Corporation Microelectronics Packaging Engineer (Junior-Level) in Huntsville, Alabama

COLSA Corporation is seeking a Microelectronics Packaging Engineer that will specialize in microelectronics packaging, and you will play a vital role in tracking technical progress, ensuring the smooth execution of microelectronics packaging projects, and generating requirements for future initiatives. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project management within a dynamic and innovative environment.

  • Requirements Generation:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements for future microelectronics packaging projects.

  • Translate technical and business needs into clear and concise requirements documentation.

  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure that requirements are feasible and well-defined.

  • Technical Progress Tracking:

  • Monitor and track the technical progress of ongoing microelectronics packaging projects.

  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

  • Identify and communicate any deviations from project plans and propose corrective actions as needed.

  • Project Coordination:

  • Coordinate project activities and ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams involved in microelectronics packaging projects.

  • Organize and lead regular project meetings to review progress, discuss challenges, and make decisions.

  • Documentation and Reporting:

  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and technical risk.

  • Generate reports and presentations to communicate project status, technical progress, and upcoming requirements to stakeholders.

  • Document lessons learned and best practices for future reference and continuous improvement.

Required SkillsRequired Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or material-science field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience

  • Basic understanding of microelectronics packaging technologies

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges.

  • Ability to acquire and maintain a SECRET clearance; U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current/active clearance
