Description
SAIC is seeking a IT Integration Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama to provide software, systems support design and implementation for the MALET JSIL Aircrew Trainer (MJAT) Program.
About the Program:
The MJAT Program provides a family of systems which provides plug and play training capability that converts a current tactical MQ-9 Reaper ER ground control station (GCS) into a training simulator. The family of systems also provides brief/debrief capabilities and multi-system connectivity. The trainer provides UAS/RPA operators the ability to conduct simulation training as part of their qualification and follow-on continuation training to maintain proficiency and currency in all required operator tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate in planning meetings in an agile environment
Implement design solutions in a diverse environment
Troubleshoot different issues within software/hardware and document solutions
Identify possible risks to solutions being developed and support the mitigation efforts
Install new hardware and software
Create and manage system configurations
Light programming or scripting opportunities
Implement STIG and patches to a wide variety of hardware solutions
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree with two (2) years of experience; four (4) years of experience in lieu of degree
Required Security Clearance:
- An Interim Secret Clearance is required to begin employment; a Secret Security Clearance is required to maintain employment
Required Certifications:
CompTIA Security Required Skills:
Wide understanding and application of virtualization technologies (VMWare, OpenShift, Containers, dockers, Kubernetes and Virtual Machines)
Wide understanding of networking (routing, firewalls, NAT, PAT, VTP, VRF)
Experience working in a Linux environment
Experience working with Windows 2019 server or later performing system administrator duties
Installation and configuration of applications and operating system within a Linux environment
Evaluate systems and upgrades for functionality
Experience with Linux virtualized Environment (KVM, Ovirt, Libvirt).
Experience installing and maintaining Red hat Linux 8 Server operating systems and services
Experience patching performing patches, upgrades, and vulnerability assessment
Design and automate system administration tasks using available tools within the environment
Storage knowledge and experience with file systems configuration along with logical volume management
