Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector (NGDS) is seeking an IBCS Material Fielding Manager 2 to join our growing team of diverse professionals in Huntsville, Alabama . The selected candidate will lead the Integrated Air and Missile Defense Battle Command System (IBCS) Material Fielding Team.

Selected candidate will lead the IBCS Material Fielding Team to the successful completion of tasks and requirements inclusive of development of a Material Fielding Plan, conduct customer interaction with the government material fielding team, perform fielding site surveys, conduct end user coordination, execute the on-site management of NG fielding resources, and status the performance of the material fielding against the plan. The Material Fielding Manager will conduct the New Material In-brief and supervise the delivery of IBCS equipment to end users at locations worldwide. Individual will be responsible for developing, organizing, and leading an integrated team of personnel including trainers, supply support personnel, and field service representatives. This position requires the material fielding lead to work on location in Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities:

  • Works under the direction of the IBCS Logistics Program Manager

  • Leads the Material Fielding Team including logisticians, military trainers, and training developers through subordinate managers

  • Supports the IFMC logistics director and fielding team lead in the creation of Memorandum of Notification (MON)

  • Supports the IFMC fielding lead in the development and delivery of the New Material Introductory Brief (NMIB)

  • Completes tasks and requirements inclusive of development of a Material Fielding Plan

  • Conducts customer interaction with the government material fielding team

  • Performs fielding site surveys

  • Conducts end-user coordination

  • Executes the on-site management of Northrop Grumman fielding resources

  • Measures the performance of the material fielding against the plan

  • Conducts the New Material In-brief and supervise the delivery of IBCS equipment to end users at locations worldwide

  • Develops, organizes, and leads an integrated team of personnel including trainers, supply support personnel, field service representatives, and mission operation representatives

  • Adheres to Statement of Work requirements and ensure team members understand, support, and successfully meet all Statement of Work tasks

Basic Qualifications:

  • 14 years of working experience in Material Fielding or related roles with a High School diploma. Can be substituted with 10 years and a Bachelor's degree or 8 years and a Master's degree

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate vertically as well as horizontally within the IBCS Organization and the US Government Customer Organization

  • Ability to create briefing packages, reports, and other forms of written communication and clearly articulate the information to Senior Management or Executives

  • Possess a strong understanding of Material Fielding requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in supporting programs through achievement of full material release

  • Experience in the support to training development and the creation / update of TRADOC standard training material

  • Ability to adhere to Statement of Work requirements and ensure team members understand, support, and successfully meet all Statement of Work tasks

  • Demonstrated experience building and controlling complex integrated resource schedules

  • Ability to estimate resource requirements, evaluate and estimate costs associated with fielding operations

  • Demonstrated experience in the use of Earned Value Management, schedule development, and allocation of resources

  • Have experience in developing resource, cost, and schedule estimations in support of proposal responses

  • Demonstrated outgoing, positive personality, solid work ethic, commitment to individual and team success, with a strong work-life balance approach is paramount to this position

  • Willing to travel up to 50%

  • Possess an Active Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NG CAM certification

  • Demonstrated experience conducting, scheduling, or leading fielding operations

  • Ability to manage customer expectations and work with government counterpart to achieve mission success

  • Prior experience in the development and delivery of MON

  • Prior experience in the development and delivery of NMIB

  • Expert level understanding of US Army fielding regulations and pamphlets

  • Possess a strong understanding of Material Fielding requirements

  • Ability to work across multiple disciplines of Logistics and Engineering

  • Ability to estimate resource requirements, evaluate and estimate costs associated with fielding operations

Salary Range: $119,800 - $179,600

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
