Job Title: Facilities Group Lead
Job Description
Join our Facilities Maintenance Department as a passionate and highly motivated Facilities Group Leader, where you will lead and develop a team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our equipment. Reporting to the Facilities Engineering Operations Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the achievement of departmental KPIs and targets. Your responsibilities will include leading with a 'Safety First' mindset, coaching and developing team members, managing weekend projects and shutdown work, and overseeing resources and project timelines to ensure all objectives are met. This role is crucial in developing the next generation of Facilities Maintenance Team Members.
Skills & Qualifications
Experience in Facilities Maintenance in a manufacturing industry
Power distribution, Industrial HVAC, Chilled Water System, Compressed Air System knowledge
Knowledge of Building Automation Systems, (Johnson Control Metasys)
Kaizen Processes in reducing waste, water and energy
Lead Preventive Maintenance activities
Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex system issues
Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, system diagrams
Knowledge of Floor Management Development System (FMDS)
Experience with preparing/developing technical presentation, developing others and relationship building
Problem Solving experience
Must be willing to work weekends (up to 50%)
Experience upgrading obsolete systems (from concept to actual implementation)
Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, including project management ability to make milestone schedules/work plans
Demonstrated ability to perform failure diagnosis, including identifying and reporting on failure of components
Added bonus if you have
2 or 4-year technical focused college degree (e.g., electrical)
Application knowledge of Floor Management Development System (FMDS)
Deep understanding of Workplace Organization (5S)
Supervisory experience including conducting formal reviews and coaching to maximize performance
Experience training TMs on changepoints or new systems
Experience making equipment improvement plans
Experience with cost management & cost reduction activities

This is a long-term contract position supporting Toyota Motor Manufacturing Alabama.
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Huntsville, Alabama.
Work Environment
Engine manufacturing plant, with 80% of the time spent on the floor and 20% at the desk. Our environment is collaborative and respectful, perfect for those who want to dream, do, and grow with us.
