job summary:

As an Electromechanical Assembly Technician, you will assemble products from various stages according to guidelines and specifications. Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams. Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems. May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing. Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems. May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment. Develops methods, processes, procedures and equipment that will improve the failure analysis process and/or reduce failures. May assist Test Engineering to design, develop, and implement cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment. Maintain safe and clean working environment in compliance with procedures, rules and regulations. Keep equipment operational with preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshoot malfunctions; and call for repairs. This job requires bending, lifting, standing and walking.

location: Huntsville, AL

salary: $16/hr to $21/hr depening on experience

work hours: 5:00AM to 3:30PM

• up to 50 lbs. (heavy lifting)

skills:

• Inspect quality and defects of products

• Use measurement devices such as calipers & micrometers

• Must be able to read and interpret electronic schematic and assembling drawings
