Leidos Deputy Program Manager in Huntsville, Alabama

Description

Leidos Defense Systems is looking to add to the team a highly organized and detail-oriented Deputy Program Manager to join our team supporting the Persistent Surveillance Portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills and have a deep understanding of the DoD acquisition processes. As the Deputy Program Manager, you will work closely with the Program Manager to ensure the successful execution of the program, meeting all technical, schedule, and cost objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist the Program Manager in the day-to-day management of the radar program.

  • Coordinate and oversee project activities, ensuring they align with program goals and objectives.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.

  • Monitor program performance and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure project success.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including DoD clients, subcontractors, and team members.

  • Support the development and execution of risk management plans.

  • Prepare and present program status reports and briefings to senior management and DoD clients.

  • Ensure compliance with DoD regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment within the program team.

Basic Qualifications

.

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 12 years of experience in the defense or similar industry.

  • Proven experience in prototype development, test and support equipment development and operations and maintenance.

  • Strong technical background, with knowledge of engineering and manufacturing principles.

  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage complex projects, multitask, and prioritize effectively.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of professionals.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Experience in risk management, including the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks to the project.

  • Experience working with government contracts and regulations.

Candidates must be a resident of Huntsville, Alabama or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, Alabama area.

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance..

Preferred Qualifications

.

  • Experience managing an EVMS program.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $108,550.00 - $196,225.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
