ITC Defense Cyber Forensics Lab Analyst (Specialist III) in Huntsville, Alabama

Position: Cyber Forensics Lab Analyst (Specialist III)

Overview:

ITC Defense is currently seeking an experienced Cyber Forensics Lab Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) program. The successful candidate will assist in managing, maintaining, and operating the MDA's Cyber Lab. As an integral part of the team, you will work to resolve security and Counterintelligence (CI) issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct network log analysis and utilize an in-depth understanding of the OSI model in the cybersecurity context.

  • Use knowledge of current and historic Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) utilized by adversaries to improve cyber defense strategies.

  • Foster and manage relationships with partners, actively steering these relationships towards beneficial outcomes for the organization.

  • Efficiently use multiple report repositories and analytical tools.

  • Create serialized reporting to effectively communicate findings and updates.

  • Collaborate with other team members and effectively share information to contribute to team success.

  • Utilize experience with Elastic, Splunk, and CHROME reporting tool to enhance data analysis and reporting capabilities.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of proven experience as a Cyber Forensics Analyst or similar role.

  • Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II or IAT Level III certification

  • Ability to work independently to resolve security/CI problems

  • Clearance required: TS with SCI eligibility

  • Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and security.

  • Comprehensive understanding of the OSI model and its application in the cybersecurity field.

  • Extensive knowledge of current and historic adversary TTPs.

  • Proficiency in using report repositories and analytical tools.

  • Strong network log analysis skills.

  • Experience with Elastic, Splunk, and CHROME reporting tool.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in serialized reporting.

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and share information effectively.

  • Strong relationship management skills.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • General understanding of the RF spectrum.

  • Experience with TSCM analysis.

  • Experience with the intelligence community (IC) to include editing and releasing reports.

  • Experience developing target packages for pre and post exercises.

  • A+, CEH, SEC+, Net+ are preferred certifications.

  • Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and security.

  • Experience with Malware Analysis and identification.
