COLSA Corporation Army Metering Program Data Scientist in Huntsville, Alabama

General Summary

Develops and applies interdisciplinary methods, algorithms, statistics, and research techniques in the development of Army Metering Program data driven solutions to extract knowledge, provide insights, and present information from data in various structured and unstructured forms.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)

  • Performs analysis of data from Army Metering Program, HQIIS, DAIS, AWERS, MDMS, and other systems.

  • Performs statistical analysis and provides input for reports and dashboards for Army Metering Program.

  • Develops data products, reports, and dashboards or other display techniques.

  • Evaluates Army Metering Program data, algorithms, and their interaction to improve algorithm performance.

  • Applies advanced statistics, including natural language processing, machine learning, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create solutions.

  • Performs data modeling and data virtualization of Army Metering Program data.

  • Writes code to preprocess and clean data.

  • Conducts unit testing and troubleshooting.

  • May train or provide leadership to others.

Required SkillsRequired Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, engineering, math, statistics, operations research, or related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 10 years work related experience

  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance; U.S. Citizenship required

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Secret clearance

  • Experience with AI/Machine Learning
