Required Skills & Abilities:
-At least two (2) years from scratch cooking experience in a hotel or restaurant required
-Previous fine dining cooking experience highly preferred
-Flexible to work AM shifts, weekends and holidays
-Must have the ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written
-Must be able to stand/walk for at least eight (8) hours
-Self-starter, able to work independently or in a team environment
-Strong ability to work in a fast pace environment
-Current Food Handler Certification Required
Job Description:
-Prepare food from scratch according to recipe and ensure portion, quality and presentation standards are consistently met
-Date all food containers, consistently use FIFO method, make sure all perishables are properly stored and note any out of stock items or possible shortages
-Check pars for shift use and determine necessary preparation for line set up
-Consistently practice sanitation procedures to refrain from cross contamination, maintain cleanliness and sanitization of work station and kitchen equipment
