Employer has a job opening with Healthy Families Mountain State in Cabell County. Healthy Families Mountain State is a voluntary In-Home Family Education program for families who are expecting or have just had a baby. Home visitors work with families in their home to provide child development and parenting information, link families to resources, and promote positive parent-child interaction. JOB DUTIES: Contact families who have been referred to the program. Visit with families in their homes (or virtually as needed) to determine individual strengths and needs. Develop a trusting relationship with the families by making regular visits Provide support and assist in strengthening the parent-child relationship Assist parents in improving their parenting skills and in setting goals Help the family access health care and support from other needed social service agencies Develop and maintain professional relationships with community resources. Complete required documentation and maintain files.
