Fairview Health Services Radiologic Technologist-Clinic in Hugo, Minnesota

Overview

Fairview Health Services is hiring a Radiologic Technologist to join our Medical Imaging team at our M Health Fairview Clinics in Hugo and New Brighton.

The Radiologic Technologist functions independently, adhering to the requirements of professional practice in performing all work responsibilities. The technologist performs a wide variety of complex diagnostic testing in the discipline of radiology, as well as other diagnostic imaging services they are qualified to perform. The technologist is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements.

Schedule : This position will be working 0.5 FTE (40 hours every two weeks) between the Hugo and New Brighton Clinic. Looking for shorter hours or only one location? We can split the schedule to provide flexibility to meet your needs to be a 0.25 FTE (20 hours every two weeks)

Responsibilities Job Description

Prioritize work to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Determines and revises priorities for diagnostic testing

Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs

Communicates effectively with all members of the health care team

Applying established professional guidelines and standards for complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures

Adheres to radiologic diagnostic testing procedures

Documents compliance with regulatory agency requirements

Follows infection control guidelines

Adheres to safety protocols

Ensures imaging procedures meet all standards and protocols

Serves as a resource for other healthcare team members

Responds appropriately to emergent situations

Evaluating imaging results for diagnostic quality

Assesses the validity of the test results to determine if consistent with changing physiological conditions or if due to possible interfering substances

Acts as a resource for problem-solving resolution

Qualifications

Required

Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree

0 - 1 Year performing radiology services

Certification as required by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

BLS Certification

Understanding of current Minnesota Department of Health Regulatory requirements

Knowledge of quality control and safety standards

Previous ambulatory care experience preferred

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred

3 years performing radiology services
