Robert Half is looking for a Purchasing Manager to join an established manufacturing company. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for maintaining vendor relationships, managing materials cost, inventory strategy, and managing a small team of purchasers. Experience with an ERP system is a plus and manage procurement vendor quoting and bidding process. You will be based in the Hudson, NY area. Occasional travel - generally 2 to 5 trips per year. Requirements: You will need: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University. Certified Professional Purchasing Manager (CPPM) is a plus. Certification Highly Desirable American Production Inventory Control (APICS) Certification. Lean and/or Six Sigma Certification Desirable. Experience in a wide range of principles and methodology of a specialized professional or technical field. Experience in developing and leading projects. Previous supervisory experience is a plus. 4-8 years of relevant experience and/or training.
