Applied Materials System engineer II Senior - (E2) in Hsinchu, Taiwan

Technical Collaboration Team (TCT)

As Applied Materials, continues to grow, we are enhancing our R&D talent and capabilities in multiple disciplines. This is a unique opportunity to technologically lead a multidisciplinary R&D team in Taiwan, which uses cutting-edge technologies for many aspects of our product development. This position is responsible for Enlight product line, 50% support field technical issues, and 50% dedicate to new product R&D projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support system engineering projects that have a substantial mix of electrical, mechanical, physics, algorithms and software design, and understand the underlying system implications. Contribute to the system engineering specification within the field of one's expertise.

  • Assist in creating the system engineering specification and write the portion of the system engineering specification pertaining to the field of technical expertise.

  • Perform and coordinate tests, and provide feedback to product engineering, physics, algorithms and software on new designs and ongoing engineering improvements.

  • Problem identification and troubleshooting of moderately difficult engineering problems in the field of technical expertise, including serviceability and manufacturability.

  • Support System Integration during the assembly and final testing of new product designs.

  • Ensure that all new designs of hardware and software meet the MRS, and are reliable, safe, user-friendly, and maintainable by the field.

  • Assist in defining all external equipment interfaces, analyze architecture ideas, and ensure they are up to date and documented.

  • Learn and begin contributing to the systems architecture development process.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in physics, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering

  • System design and coding skills are required (Any coding language)

  • Preferred to have metrology, inspection, defect, and yield enhancement knowledge

  • Excellent English and Chinese communication capability

  • Welcome NCG (New College Graduate)
