Job Description Summary

The USM Materials Manager is responsible for the end-to-end Used Serviceable Material Program process (USM). Accountable for the planning, inventory management, set up of work orders and work scopes for the USM program within the service center and the engine teardown facility.

Roles and Responsibilities

In the role of USM Materials Manager, you will:

  • Coordinate buyback work orders, used engine disassembly, piece part identification, repair and tracking.

  • Execute system transactions to support engine buyback orders including shipping documents, RMA's and WIP negatives.

  • Be responsible for repair management of USM parts supporting service center requirements and targeted inventory stock levels.

  • Be responsible for receipt of all material coming back from repair ensuring cost is allocated to the correct work orders.

  • Review all repair costs to ensure they are within a reasonable range vs. new part cost.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Management or Engineering plus 3-5 years of experience working with aeroderivative gas turbines or High School Diploma /GED plus 8-10 years of experience in aeroderivative Gas turbines

  • Knowledge of aeroderivative repair concepts and processes

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Self-starter, ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • ERP experience, preferably in Oracle

  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office.
