Robert Half University Recruiting Coordinator in Houston, Texas

Description

We are in search of a dedicated University Recruiting Coordinator to join our client's team based in Houston, Texas. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role on their University Relations team, focusing on identifying potential hiring targets, strategizing recruitment processes, and coordinating recruitment efforts for university and technical college programs. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity with a hybrid schedule as well as the option to work a 9/80 schedule!

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with leadership to determine current and future hiring targets for University and Technical College recruitment programs.

• Establish requirements for campus recruiting, considering various factors such as historical acceptance rates, number of applications from each university, and more.

• Develop and implement new strategies for improving campus and base recruiting efforts.

• Coordinate recruitment efforts with campus teams to deliver top-quality new grad and intern candidates.

• Maintain historical records of new grads, interns, and co-ops and produce metrics reports.

• Foster university relations to promote the organization and enhance on-campus presence.

• Ensure compliance with Affirmative Action plans related to staffing role.

• Plan and manage summer intern program and associated activities.

• Coordinate and conduct the offer process for potential hires.

• Utilize skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for effective communication and data management.

• Exercise leadership skills in coordinating domestic recruiting teams and identifying their roles.

• Utilize communication skills in marketing/branding with universities, students, and veterans.

• Manage candidate systems tracking and distribution with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

• Demonstrate planning and organizational skills in coordinating various activities such as summer field trips, tours, intern poster presentations, and evaluation meetings.

• Utilize networking and liaison skills in developing relationships with on-campus professional/student organizations.

Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Experience in HR administration and hiring processes

• Knowledge of onboarding and staffing procedures

• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage team dynamics

• Familiarity with marketing strategies and planning

• Understanding of policy development and implementation

• Experience in handling materials and shipping functions

• Proficient in 'About Time' software

• Ability to create and deliver presentations

• Excellent networking and liaison skills

• Knowledge of financial notes and metric reporting

• Experience in quality assurance and control

• Ability to work on a quarterly schedule and meet deadlines.
