Training Content Developer 

Role Summary 

Our client is looking for a Training Content Developer to join their rapidly growing team. The Training Content Developer is responsible for creating and delivering training content to be used companywide. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of how to craft and refine content deliverables such as online courses and job aids in accordance with approved plans and standards 

Key Results Area 

  • Design and develop live and asynchronous training covering essential topics to provide employees with the skills needed 

  • Developing online learning platforms and content 

  • Create comprehensive training materials, including presentations, handouts, guides, and multimedia resources 

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather input and feedback on training needs to ensure the deliverables meet standards and objectives 

  • Incorporate interactive and experiential learning techniques to engage employees and enhance their learning experience 

  • Design assessment tools and surveys to measure employee comprehension  

  • Gather feedback on training effectiveness and relevance 

  • Convey complex information in a clear, concise, and accessible manner 

  • Follow continual quality improvement processes to assess training and improve delivery 

  • Stay up to date with best practices and trends in the Oil and Gas industry and its relevant content areas 

Skills & Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, education, or related field 

  • Minimum of three (3) years in the Training and Development field, with at least two (2) years specifically working in the Oil and Gas field 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to convey complex information in a clear and engaging manner one-on-one or in a classroom or team environment 

  • Ability to quickly adjust to changing priorities, unexpected challenges, and evolving project requirements 

  • Strong time management skills 

  • Capable of working independently as well as part of virtual team 

  • Exceptional critical thinking, planning, and organizing skills
